Community Sports Programs After prison Release: Getting INvolved
Community sports programs exist everywhere we go, sometimes we are not always aware of the programs. And when programs are not in an area, people can get involved to create community leagues. Community softball, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and hockey leagues can be found in a majority of the communities, and participation does not require background checks (unless people will be working with children). This makes it simple for past prison inmates to be able to continue to play the sport that had allowed them to properly rehabilitate and learn to relive in society again. Getting involved should never be an issue even when a certain sports program does not exist in the community because the resources are all there to create a team and league of your own. By taking the initiative to join the preexisting leagues or by creating a different league, past inmates can continue living a positive and crime free lifestyle.
